Topic: HIS DWELLING PLACE 5
Text: Psalms 91:1 KJV
1 He that dwell in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
Today we want to consider another dwelling place of God, it is called the secret place of God. When we talk of secret place, it is a place where men seek the face of God in prayer constantly, and as a result the presence of God comes there. It could be a personal secret place in your house, I mean your closet where you constantly commune with God everyday, and it could a gathering away from home, where people go to wait on God in worship or fasting and prayer, these ones are often called mountains or camp grounds.
Beloved, mountains are good places to seek God’s face, but it is also important to note that not all mountains are of God, some are of the devil, and some are out to deceive men and put them in bondage. I am not here to discourage going to mountain to pray, just sounding a note of care to be sure of where you are going to seek God.
I also want to also stress here that it is very important to make you home the dwelling of God. The only thing that turns that mountain to a place of God’s presence is simply because men over a period of time had brought down God’s presence through fasting and prayer, and so if you would do the same in your closet, God’s presence will reside in your home which means revelations will be available, visitors who come will leave blessed, a sick person would leave your home healed and many more that God’s presence can offer. So make your home an abode of God.
When you raise an alter of worship and prayer in any place, God will dwell there, as you wake up from sleep from morning you can always invite God to your dwelling place so that it will become his dwelling place. God bless you.
* Father, come and make my home your dwelling place in Jesus Name.
