Topic: LOVE AND SUBMISSION
Text: Ephesians 5:22-25KJV
22 Wives, submityourselves unto yourown husbands, as unto the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ,so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
The subject of love and submission in the home is of great importance just as the scriptures stated it. The husband is to love and the wife is to submit, the cries often heard from the wife is that my husband does not love me or care about me anymore while the husband cries my wife is not submissive.
The husband is to love the wife just as Christ love the church and offered himself to save the church, that is the measure or extent of love God expects from the man. A love that is sacrificial, and not selfish. Treat your wife like a Queen and not a slave, show her the true love you profess for her, if she does wrong correct with love and not with force or authority like a boss. Make her your friend and soul mate, do things that will make her to always rely on you, I mean things that will bring her more closer to you. It is not out of place if you make out time to always be around her and do some house chores together with her, understand when she is tired and wornout and offer to her or assist her, don’t despise her or ignore her when she needs your attention, that shows how much you love her, remember love is sacrificial.
The wife is to submit to her husband in everything as unto God, it means submitting to your man is beyond his person, or personality, its a duty you owe God who gave you to your husband and your husband to you. Your husband is your head, see him as such, don’t try to take his position, respect him and love him, always make him happy and let him feel relax anytime he is around you. He spent so hours at work everyday, make him always want to return home from work.
Dearly beloved husband and wife, you owe each other a duty of love and submission as unto God. God bless you
