Topic: A TRAVELLER …part 4
Text : 2 Samuel 12:4
4: And there came a traveller unto the rich man, and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd, to dress for the wayfaring man that was come unto him; but took the poor man’s lamb, and dressed it for the man that was come to him.
The traveller I am sharing here is in the class of things that God didn’t make with you, I want to major on sickness and disease here. The first point I will like to explain here Is this: it is not normal to be sick; whatever God does is perfect, so God didn’t make an imperfect body, your body was created to be free from sicknesses and diseases.
If you study bible well you will discover that God didn’t make hospital in Eden, this is because man is to live healthy as he takes his meal from the garden, so sickness, disease, infirmity and deformity are strangers, visitors, unwanted guests, invited travellers, the first point you should understand is that sickenesses and diseases are strangers in your body, they are not meant to be part of your body.
The second point I want to discuss here is how this unwanted guest are invited, how they travel into your body.
1, SIN: apart from looking from the scriptural point of view, it is most likely that anyone who sleeps around will contact disease, how many drunkards have lost their livers and kidneys to alcohol? Sin invites sicknesses and diseases, HIV brought untimely death to many.
2, CURSE: curse can bring sickness and disease, Elijah cursed Gehazi in 2 Kings 5:26,27 And he said unto him, Went not mine heart with thee, when the man turned again from his chariot to meet thee? ….The leprosy therefore of Naaman shall cleave unto thee, and unto thy seed for ever. And he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow.
3, MALNUTRITION: many people ignorantly feed on stuff that is not body friendly, eating food with preservatives is not in the interest of our bodies, staying natural is good and best for our health.
4, SPIRITUAL ATTACK: some people were struck in their dreams and they saw manifestations in the physical, the enemy can attack with sickness and disease if you’re not prayerful.
The third point I want explain is how these travellers/visitors are treated, of course medical treatment is good, see your doctor, but remember doctors say, ‘ we care but God heals ‘, the healing power come through the death and resurrection of Jesus, there is healing power in the blood of Jesus. You can come to him for healing.
Avoid anything that is dangerous to health, remain prayerful, abstain from sin. God bless you. BE HEALED YOUR BODY IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

* As we wait upon God today, ask God to touch your body and Chase every stranger.
* I am free from sickness and disease in the name of Jesus.
