Topic: A TRAVELLER…part 2
Text: 2 Samuel 12:4
4: And there came a traveller unto the rich man, and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd, to dress for the wayfaring man that was come unto him; but took the poor man’s lamb, and dressed it for the man that was come to him.
In part 1 I laid solid foundation on our subject matter, A TRAVELLER, let me go further to say that travellers have wrecked great havoc in many lives, not travellers as in somebody visiting you, but travellers/visitors in your body, your life, your feelings, and your family.
As I promised in part 1, my emphasis here is how a traveller/visitor invites other visitors, please note that I will be using the words ‘ traveller ‘ and ‘ visitor ‘ interchangeably.
King David’s first visitor here was Lust of the Eyes, the visitor was well entertained, how? David couldn’t keep his eyes off what he was seeing, his eyes couldn’t let go the nakedness of a woman, he kept looking until he could not control his feelings, and because he could not say no to his feelings, he raped another man’s wife that led to adultery.
After taking the pleasure of another man, he wasn’t humble enough to ask for forgiveness but rather chose to cover his sins, and now trying to cover his shame he would have made Urriah taken a bastard as son, when his plans failed he murdered Urriah, do you see the outcome of entertaining this traveller called Lust of the Eyes.
See beloved, the problem is not that a traveller visited him, please note that the traveller will always visit, it is a state of temptation, in form of evil thoughts and evil desires, but the problem is that the traveller was well entertained, entertaining this traveller called Lust of the Eye begins from keeping your eyes on a lady, looking at the body statistics, especially the ladies in leggings, mini skirts, trousers, tight blouses,
Watching porn films, phonographs, watching out for the nakedness of someone, if you experience any of these, you’re entertaining a dangerous visitor, it will definitely invite other visitors, it will birth adultery, formication, it can lead to break up of a happy home. The good news is that you can be free from this traveller, in fact you must be free.
Can I shook you? I started experiencing Lust as a teenager before God delivered me, but I never knew any lady apart from my wife, I have had several occasions to entertain this ungodly visitor, let me share one of them; before I got married I saw a lady naked herself before me four times in one day, but I said no.
I am discussing this matter in details because it is one strong weapon in the hand of the devil to ruin many lives, destinies and homes.
If you understand what I am talking about, and you will like to be free, the saviour, Jesus, is right beside you to help you, just cry out to him for deliverance. God bless you.

* Lord deliver me from the lust of the eyes.
* Let the yoke of immorality upon my life be broken in the name of Jesus.
