Topic: A TRAVELLER …part 1
Text : 2 Samuel 12:4.
4: And there came a traveller unto the rich man, and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd, to dress for the wayfaring man that was come unto him; but took the poor man’s lamb, and dressed it for the man that was come to him.
The scriptures are life to anyone who understands, WHILE MEN SLEPT.. (part 1-8) has been a blessing, THE NATURE OF DEVIL AND MAN has been a blessing as well. I am starting another series today by the leading of the Holy Spirit, it is titled ‘ A TRAVELLER ‘, let’s see how far the Holy Spirit will lead us, but before I start let me take 1 testimony from our Blogg, we have about 1,000 testimonies there;

Can I just say what a relief to uncover somebody who truly understands what they’re talking about on the web.
You actually know how to bring a problem to light.
and make it important. More and more people need to look at this and understand this side of your story.

Glory to God, back to today’s message; your must have read about King David taking Uriah’s wife and killing him in 2 Samuel 11, if not you can read the story, Prophet Nathan described the ungodly incident by saying, ‘…there came a traveller unto the rich man ‘, 2 things we must quickly establish here; 1, the traveller 2, the rich man, what does it mean to be rich? Check dictionary, you will find this; of great worth and quality, now listen; every human being is made with great worth and quality, no amount of money can buy your life, so by this definition you are a rich man not minding your material possession. A traveller is just a visitor, he just came for some time, he will soon leave, but some visitors can create a life time problem.
King David had great worth and quality like any other man, one day a traveller visited him, the name of the traveller is LUST OF THE EYES, it wouldn’t have been the lust of the eyes, but just sexual urge which one of his wives will satisfy, but he went after another man’s wife to satisfy his feeling.
David would have gotten over this strange feeling if he had put forth a little self control, the visitor would have left him, but rather he chose to entertain the visitor with another man’s wife, can I shock you? Since the visitor was well entertained, he invited other visitors, this will be the emphasis in part 2 but the traveller here is LUST OF THE EYES.
Your gaze at other women apart from your wife is a traveller, your eyes on that young lady in your office is a traveller, your falling in love with a man that is not your husband is a traveller, that was how King David began, in the course of this teaching I will analyze the great calamity that befell him, but this is how it all began.
It is dangerous to entertain this traveller, it will bring lasting pains and calamity. God bless you.
