8th August
Topic: WHILE MEN SLEPT…(part 4)
Text: Matthew 13:25
25: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
26: But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
27: So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
28: He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
I have taken time to explain spiritual slumber in part 1 to 3, it is a dangerous state for any believer, on Friday I will take time to explain other ways of staying awake in spirit, here I want to talk about the enemy and his seed.
Some preachers don’t like talking about the enemy, some don’t even pray against him, the devil, in their explanation of the workings of grace, they say, ‘ the devil can’t hurt me even when I don’t pray against him ‘, this is an extreme, it is not total truth but partial.
The first point I want to make here is this; the devil has never given up over anyone, he keeps fighting you as long as you’re in this world, no matter the level of anointing and grace anyone carries he keeps trying, trying to bring one down no matter his level in the faith. This scripture sheds light on this; 1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Let me also say that either you’re awake or asleep he tries to attack, but the difference is that when you are awake you can stop him, but when you are asleep he will sow his seed and go his way according to our text
The second point is about the seed he sows, …tares among wheat… It is important you know that God has sown good seed in everyone, whatever is not good is not of God no matter how anyone explains it, the truth is that …the enemy has done this…verse 28.
The good news is this; whatever God has not planted in your life will be uprooted in the name of Jesus. The focus here is to undo what the enemy has done, our prayer and fasting today is focused at uprooting what the enemy has planted, whatever is hurting your life is not of God, whatever hurts your finances, your body and family is not of God.
Not doing anything about what the enemy has done is the greatest harm you can do to yourself, by the power in the name of Jesus you gat to rebuke the devil and undo his deeds. As we wait upon the Lord today, every satanic seed will be uprooted in the name of Jesus. God bless you.
PRAYER.
* I undo all that the enemy has done in my life in the name of Jesus.
* I stop every satanic activity in and around my life, business, work and family in the name of Jesus.
