Topic: WHILE MEN SLEPT…(part 3)
Text: Matthew 13:25
25: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
Detailed teaching of the word of God brings light and understanding, when a man doesn’t understand the word of God he stumbles in life. I am still discussing the consequences of sleeping in the spirit; and today the focus is how staying awake spiritually affects your finances.
I have several ways to explain this, let’s go on as time permits us; making money is a function of how you use your mind, a dull mind can’t make money, employee with a dull mind will soon be out of employment, a businessman with a dull mind will soon go bankrupt.
The mind is the seat of faculty of reason, but the spirit of every man has influence over his mind, how do I mean? When your spirit is down your mind can’t take right decisions, when your spirit is weary you lose your mind. This is how it goes; the state your spirit determines your state of mind, while your state of mind determines your decision, and of course your decisions determines profitability in your endeavors.
It is only God, through his Spirit, who can direct your spirit aright, but if your spirit is not awake to receive from God’s Spirit how can you be led aright? Look at this scripture; A man’s mind plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps and makes them sure. Proverbs 16:9 Amplified.
So it takes the leading of the Holy Spirit for a man to get his plans right and sure.
From another perspective; not everything that appears good is actually good in its real content, many bad things are professionally packaged to look good and enticing, it takes a spiritual man to discern its real nature. Some businesses will appear good but in their real content they lead to financial crisis. When a man is asleep in the spirit deception is inevitable, but a man who is awake spiritually can discern and avoid losses.
The third perspective to this; there is actually something that you will do that will lead to your breakthrough, there is a path to your prosperity, I mean there is something that you will do that will bring financial fortune, sometimes out of the scope of what you studied in school, it takes the Holy Spirit to reveal it to you, but if your spirit is asleep how can you understand the leading of the Holy Spirit?
Let me close by saying this; God speaks to meet our needs, he wants you to prosper but he won’t drop money from the sky or through your roof, that is not his method, he speaks and gives directions about how to make money. Can I shook you? while you have been praying for financial breakthrough, he has been speaking to give you direction into prosperity, but you couldn’t hear because you’re not spiritually awake.
I strongly advise you allow the Holy Spirit to possess your spirit if you must prosper in what you do. God bless you.
