Topic: WHILE MEN SLEPT..(part 2)
Text : Matthew 13:25.
25: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
When a man sleeps he hardly hear what is said around him, when a man sleeps in the spirit he doesn’t get any message from the spirit. It is important you understand that God does not pass message through the body but the spirit, the reason is because God is a spirit, how do I know? John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
He communicates to us in the spirit not in the physical, so it takes anyone who is spiritually alert and awake to hear him, no wonder Apostle Paul wrote the Romans in Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. This scripture means that those who understand and yield to God’s leading by his Spirit are God’s Children.
See Beloved, if you must do well in life, and fulfill your destiny then it is not an option to be spiritual, every child of God is expected to be, spiritual slumber does not permit you to hear God, when a pastor is asleep in the spirit he can’t get right messages to deliver to his congregation.
It is every believer’s duty to keep his or her spirit awake if he must get the best from God, let me give an example you can relate with; if your phone is switched off, you can be sure you won’t receive any call, if anyone is calling to give you a vital information you will be out of reach, if it is an information that will give you good money you will miss it.
It is absolutely important you know that God speaks and always wants to speak to Children, you inclusive, but he only speak through the spirit not the flesh, just as you keep your phone on to receive calls, so must you always keep your spirit awake to hear God.
Let me also say this: no matter the level you are in life, no matter your level of success in life, you are still afar from the plan and program of God for you if you can’t hear him. Let me put it this way; you remain second class in destiny if you do not hear the voice of God. The best of you can only manifest when you hear God. Tomorrow, I will focus on how staying awake in the spirit affects your finances.
Let me close this way: just as you miss vital information when your phone is off so you miss vital spiritual information, God wants all of us to come to a point we can all hear him. God bless you.
PRAYER.
* Lord help me to be spiritually awake.
* Help me to hear you when you speak.
