Topic; WHILE MEN SLEPT…
Text; Matthew 13:25
25: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
I am starting a series of teaching today as the Holy Spirit is leading me, I am teaching on the topic ‘ WHILE MEN SLEPT..’ It bothers on spiritual and mental consciousness, every follower of Christ must take seriously the teachings of Jesus, and anytime Jesus did raise any issue it bothers of life matter.
Sleeping is a state of unconsciousness, it is a state when one is not sensitive to events or activities around, it is state when you eyes are heavy, when it appears difficult to lift your hands and legs.
Sleeping in the spirit realm takes higher degree than sleeping in the physical, it is beyond lying on a bed and closing eyes, it is a state where your spiritman is not conscious of the activities in the spirit realm, this is a serious problem because the physical activities are controlled and determined by spiritual activities.
The enemy (devil) strikes everyone in the spirit not in the physical, what you see in the physical is the end result of what transpired in the spirit realms, let me quickly way this; your dreams most times give gist of what is happening in the spirit realm. For every manifestation in the physical it is first concluded in the spirit realm, so it is dangerous to say, ‘ I just want to be a norminal Christian, I don’t need to be that vibrant christian ‘, there is no point being hypocritical about your walk with God because both God and devil know your level in the spirit.
Let me also say this; the devil does not spare anyone in the battle of life, he strikes everyone with afflictions and all kinds of evil. Sleeping in the spirit allows the enemy to sow unpleasant seed into one’s life, every affliction, oppression, depression even poverty starts from the spirit realm.
One major point of spiritual awakeness I want to share here is PRAYER, of course there are other points but let me talk about this here. PLEASE NOTE THIS; you must come to a point of never to give up praying.
Jesus spoke in Luke 18:1..men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
Apostle Paul spoke in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 pray without ceasing.
Apostle wrote the Ephesians in Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit…
Paul also wrote to the Philippians in Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
To be prayerful is to stay awake spiritually.
PRAYER.
* Revive me Lord by your Spirit.
* Make me prayerful.
