Text : Psalms 51: 17
17: My sacrifice [the sacrifice acceptable] to God is a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart [broken down with sorrow for sin and humbly and thoroughly penitent], such, O God, You will not despise.
Just as food is to your body so is fasting and prayer to your spirit, as we wait upon the Lord for these 18 days he will refine our spirits and cause lifting in all ramifications. Today is declared a day of sanctification, it is defined as made holy.
The state of our heart is absolutely important in our worship to God, and if you must please God, which is a mandate for every true worshipper of God, you must have A CONTRITE HEART, Contrite is defined as feeling or expression of pains or sorrow for sin or offense. It means having a heart that does not rejoice or feel complacent at sin, heart is a platform where we lay our sacrifices to God, and if it is not in good order our sacrifices won’t be accepted by God, our prayer focus today is that God will work on our hearts. Tomorrow is for intense prayer for your family, endeavor to be part of it. God bless you.

* Break Lord the passion of sin.
* Make me pure in my heart in the name of Jesus.
