Topic: THE SPIRIT OF JEZEBEL
Text:1 Kings 16:31-33KJV
31 And it came to pass, as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took to wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Zidonians, and went and served Baal, and worshipped him.
32 And he reared up an altar for Baal in the house of Baal, which he had built in Samaria.
33 And Ahab made a grove; and Ahab did more to provoke the LORD God of Israel to anger than all the kings of Israel that were before him.
Two main chacteristics of Jezebel was that of seduction and destruction. Jezebel is not different from a beast, she was an embodiment of wickedness, immorality and cruelty. In 1 Kings 21:25 She stirred her husband King Ahab to be the most wicked King.
The spirit of Jezebel is still very much around in our days, it is a seductive spirit, and also destructive, before I proceed further to talk on the effect of this spirit let me give a scriptural passage to explain this spirit.
Look at this scripture Revelation 2:20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. It will surprise you that this spirit manifests in some churches, I will speak more about this tomorrow.
The primary assignment of this spirit is seduction, many marriages have been broken by this spirit, permit me to say this; many marriages are products of seduction by the activities of this spirit. This is the reason why many divorce in no time after elaborate wedding ceremony, love is not the foundation but seduction.
Every man or woman who wants to save his or her marriage must flee this spirit, this spirit does not make a woman faithful to her husband. Can I shock you? This spirit affects other areas of ones life, finances, health, business and career, to confirm what I am sharing here just check any man or woman who flirts around.
Every woman should intercede on behalf of her husband against strange woman like Jezebel, men should pray for their wives likewise.
If you’re presently under the influence of a strange woman or man you can be free, cry to God for deliverance you can also call for counselling. God bless you.
