Prevailing Voice Daily 4th June

PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
4th June
Topic: GOD’S TOUCH ON YOUR TOUCH.
Text : 1 Corinthians 3:6,7.
6: I (Paul) have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
7: So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.
Results sometimes is not determined by efforts, some people have put so much into life and the result they got could not commensurate with the efforts they put in. Let me start from here; best students in school do not always get the best job, look around, you will see first class graduates in school work as subordinates to second class or even third class. This is not to discourage hardworking students but to buttress a point, just get along with me.
How many businessmen with good strategies and great ideas are doing well? It is important you know that it is God that determines the prosperity of a man, I am sharing the process of this prosperity here; it is basically God touching what you touch. When God touches what you touch it is bound to prosper.
When God touches what you do no matter how small it is it will become great, Joseph was in Portiphar’s house and anything he did touch prospered, it is because God’s touch was upon his touch, David couldn’t have killed Goliath if God had not touched his sling and stone. When God touches your touch your error is not seen because his touch will correct the errors.
In our passage Apostle Paul (a great church planter) was saying ‘ I planted, Apollos watered but God giveth increase, So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. It is God that gives increase.
Look at this Psalms 75:6,7; For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another. God is so much involved in the affairs of men in every race, continent, country, and tribe, you can’t leave God out of the affairs of your life and prosper.
You must be God-conscious if you must be prosperous in life, you can’t keep him behind and prosper, it is not possible, you must have heard people say,’ lest leave God out of this ‘, each time they do that they struggle alone. As a teenager I was so committed in fellowship things in school to the point that my vice principal taught I would fail my final exams, but to his uttermost surprise I came out with 4 distinctions 5 credits at one sitting. In higher institution I was so committed fellowship to the point that I was being referred to as ‘ Pope ‘.
Don’t be passive about God, be active, even in corporate setting; when I was working a bank the job couldn’t separate me from my commitment to God, I did attend mid-week services, in your quest for good jobs, good businesses, big contracts, a good career God must be carried along. You can’t put God aside and prosper. More salient points to make on this, I will share more next Monday. Do have a prosperous week in Jesus name.
PRAYER.
* Lord give me increase as I make effort in life.
* I renew my commitment to you Lord.
