Topic: RECEIVING HELP FROM ABOVE.
Text: John 3:27
John 3:27 John answered, A man can receive nothing [he can claim nothing, he can take unto himself nothing] except as it has been granted to him from heaven. [A man must be content to receive the gift which is given him from heaven; there is no other source.]
There is a limit to what every man can do, every man has limitations. Sometimes we expect a kind of help or assistance from someone, but overtime you would have discovered that help from men fails, even those who want to help sometimes need help themselves. At this point divine help is inevitable.
I remember when I was doing research on a particular topic, I needed a company as a case study of the topic I was writing about, I approached a company and met with the Managing Director, he gave me needed support, I told him, ‘ I will like to take my Industrial Training here ‘, he said that wouldn’t be a problem. When I needed to start the training, I went to the company, I saw the man almost in tears, he said to me, ‘ I have been fired ‘.
At other times some helps are really not help, let me make this clear to you, some helps close doors to bigger breakthrough, I pray for you today: you won’t receive help that will close bigger doors to you. Some helps are hindrances, delay, embargoes in disguise, may you not receive such help.
It is important you understand that lasting help comes from above, of course, God will send people to you, not angels, but men like angels.
Look at this scripture: James 1:7 Every good gift and every perfect (free, large, full) gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of all [that gives] light, in [the shining of] Whom there can be no variation [rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [as in an eclipse]. Every perfect gift comes from above, lasting help is received from above. A life time help is from above.
How to receive this divine help is what should be our concern here. You must understand that heaven does not waste resources, just as treasure is not found on the street, but in secret places by anyone who will truly search for it, so also heaven will not release divine resources to anyone who is careless about it. There must be a search, a diligent one for that matter.
I know several times you would have declared fasting to get a particular need met, that is the search I am talking about, that is seeking divine help, divine assistance, you see reasons to put food aside for a while; you’re trusting God for what man cannot give, you don’t want to go near sin, that is the process. This is because heaven attends to serious people.
Don’t give up in your search, your miracle is on the way. God bless you.
