Topic: THE BATTLE FOR YOUR SOUL
Text: Luke 23:31-32
31: And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:
32: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
This is another strange topic, it is important your know in details circumstances around your soul. Devil has lost his eternity forever and he won’t want to be the only person in hell, and so he is working tirelessly to battle with everyone on his or her way to heaven.
Let me come out this way: the challenges around your life are weapons from hell to battles your soul, the financial crisis, the marital crisis, health challenge, are all weapons in the hand of the devil, how do I know? Job was living fine until the devil entered an argument with God about his life.
God spoke about Job in Job 1:8 And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? Devil was like, how can a man got so much accolades? He wanted to get ride of those accolades that will make him gain his soul forever, and that is exactly what he does to everyone who has given his life (soul) to the Lord.
The serious attacks on Job life’s was for him to lose his faith in God, devil was like; how can he have so much reputation among men and God? How can he be a saint? So he got permission to lunch attack on his life, the attacks were so much to the point that Job’s wife told Job in Job 2:9 ….Do you still hold fast your blameless uprightness? Renounce God and die! (Amp), that is what the wants from you ‘ renounce God, and die ‘
The long time battle around your life is meant to make you renounce God, that financial crisis is meant to make you do something illegal, and fraudulent in order for you to lose your stand with God, that marital challenge is meant to make you go wayward so that you will lose your right standing with God, and thereby end up with him (devil) in hell.
Devil wonders why you’re still praying, the prayer points of many years have not been answered, and you’re still praying, he wants you to lose your faith, you must understand that it is that faith that connects you to God, and when you lose it you lose your soul to hell, for instance, if you give up praying over a challenge and you choice to patronize witch doctors, you will be surrendering your soul to the devil.
Apostle Paul spoke in 2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: check out the last sentence; I have kept the faith. Look at Jude 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost. You can win the battle by praying, don’t stop praying, don’t be discouraged you’re almost there. Speak against those attacks from the enemy. God bless you.
