Topic: WINNING FROM YOUR MIND
Text : Joshua 1:1-9
6: Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.
7: Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest.
9: Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Many years ago the Lord spoke to me, ‘ The courage within can withstand the pressure without ‘. Courage comes from the mind, it takes courage to go to battle, it takes courage to face the enemies, it takes courage to face the challenges of life, it takes courage to take right decisions in trying times.
You see God talking to Joshua about the task ahead of him, in 3 verses of Joshua chapter 1 you will notice the word ‘ courage ‘. It takes courage to get on in life. You must understand that God programmed functions of a man’s life in his mind, it is like the engine of a vehicle, your life functions in the direction of your mind.
Education is simply informing the mind, education is meant to help you improve and maximize the usage of your mind, a man’s ability is not determined by his wealth and assets, but by the soundness of his mind, it therefore means that improving your mind is improving your ability to achieve great things in life.
A man that is well informed will always find his way out of his challenges, people have survived under critical conditions because they refused to give up in the mind. A wearied mind can not win any battle even when all it takes to win is available. The quality of information on your mind determines the quality of life you live.
What you feed your mind on determines how you feel about life, you have not lost a battle until you lose in your mind. A poor man with a rich mind will soon become rich, a weak man with a strong mind will soon become strong.
A well informed man can make something out of nothing, he can start a profitable business without capital. One unique asset God has given you is your mind, you determine what it feeds upon, if overtime you move from one challenge to another, and it does not look like you are coming out of it, then you must check your meditations.
The world of a dull mind is always looking gloomy, cloudy, crumbling. If your mind is dull your world will be dull, it will always look like the end has come, no way forward. Feed your mind with God’s word, improve your mind with profitable information, it will go a long way to improve your life. God bless you.
