PREVAILING VOICE DAILY

Topic: THE FATHER’S BLESSING 3
Text: Deuteronomy 28:1-68 KJV
2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.
3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.
There are three kinds of fathers who have right and authority to bless their children, not only to bless but also have authority to curse. The two categories we have considered are biological and spiritual fathers.
The third kind of father we are considering today is the heavenly father. Our heavenly father is the one who created us in his own image, he made the heavens and the earth and everything in it. It is important to note that our God, our heavenly father has the right or authority to bless or curse anyone.
From our text above God pronounced great blessings upon his people if only they would obey his commandments, and from verse 14 downwards, if they failed to keep his commandments, he pronounced curses.
God can bless his children who please him far beyond any curse and he can curse those who disobey or disregard him far below any blessings. God has the power to lift any biological parental curse and spiritual father’s curse, but if God curse any man, such is doomed because it is only God himself that can reverse such a curse.
God our heavenly father is always willing and ready to bless us his children abundantly, his thought for us is for good and not for evil to give us an expected end (Jeremiah 29:11), the only condition that made God to curse is disobedience, therefore let’s provoke God’s blessings through obedience and not curses through disobedience. God bless you.

* Father, let me and my family attract your blessings and not curses in Jesus Name.
