PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
23rd April
Topic: PRONOUNCEMENT OF BLESSING
Text: Deuteronomy 28: 1-13
2: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.
3: Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
4: Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
5: Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.
6: Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
Words play major role in our lives, those who understanding this take advantage of it. King Balak knew the importance of words, he hired Prophet Balaam to curse the Israelites so that he could conquer them, Goliath also understood this, he started the fight with David by cursing him by the names of his gods 1 Samuel 17:43, in verse 42, Goliath despised David because he is a youth, but he knew the importance of making pronouncement before going into battle.
When a man is cursed what he does does not prosper, he will always miss his target, but when he is blessed every little effort brings great breakthrough, pronouncement of blessings is therefore inevitable if you must prosper, and you will agree with me that it is only God’s pronouncement that is superior.
It is important you know that God does not pronounce blessings on everyone, from our passage God was clear about this in verse 2: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God. These blessings shall come to you and overtake you, it means blessing will run after everyone who obeys the voice of the Lord, it means they won’t need to run after blessings but blessing will run after them.
Great blessings beloved; blessed shall thou be in the city and in the field, blessed shall be the fruit of your body, this is talking about your children, blessed shall be the fruit of your ground, I see God breaking the curse man inherited from Adam here, the fruit of your ground connotes your labor, it means the works of your hand is blessed.
Blessed shall be the fruit of your cattle, this one is talking about your investment, it means your investment will be profitable. Blessed shall be your basket and your store, this is talking about abundance in your home. These are wonderful promises of God for us who obey His voice.
Verse 6 is sweet, look at it here: Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out. It means the Lord will bless your movement, you will be free from accident, casualty, your outing will always be blessed.
It is certain that God honors His word, He is ever faithful, as we stay with Him all these blessings will overtake us. I urge you to obey His voice, God bless you.
PRAYER.
* Help me Lord to always obey your voice.
