9: The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
God has desire just as each one of us does have desires, God’s desire is that no soul will perish in hell. God has a rescue mission to save man since Adam fell from grace.
The rescue mission brought about the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus. This mission is of uttermost priority in the heart of God, it became God’s business to save men, God is recruiting men for this great mission. Just as you wouldn’t play with your work so God wouldn’t play with this mission.
By His Spirit He raises men and women, and burdened their hearts with this mission mandate, this mission has major role to play in the time table of the world, it is a mission that bothers on the eternity of men.
Everyone who receives this mission mandate and is committed to it receives blessings for it. It is of great importance to know that your involvement in this mission will attract God’s attention to you, how do I mean? Taking part in this mission requires divine resources, and if you are involve in it God supplies the resources, it therefore means that God will constantly check on you to ensure you’re not out of supply.
Soul winning is the sole aim of this mission, turning men God, turning them from unrighteousness to righteousness, bringing them from darkness into light, directing the movement of sinners from path to hell to the narrow way of heaven. There ways you can get involve:
1, PRAYING SINNERS TO GOD: intercession as become a major tool in soul winning, praying to God to touch someone’s heart for salvation, asking God to visit a wretched sinner. It is baby Christians that seek God for their personal desires alone, how will you feel when you see your dad or mum in hell? How will you feel when your siblings gnash their teeth in lake of fire? You can begin to seek God on their behave from now, trusting God to save them.
2, PREACHING THE GOSPEL: preach the gospel in action and in words, showing the love of Christ in your lifestyle, preach by whatever means, tell others about Christ, invite people to church programs, share the scriptures with people around you, instead of unprofitable conversations take time to talk about the scripture.
3, PAY MISSION/CHURCH BILLS: some people are actively involved in this mission, support them with your resources, pay church rent, pay light bills for church, sow into the life of a missionary, support church programs e.g revival, crusade, retreat.
This is what happens when you give your resources to this mission: If a pastor is trusting God for funds to organize programs or church projects, God looks for someone around him who will liberally give to him, He will cause financial fortune for such person so that he can give to pastor.
