Topic: ‘ ..FOR THOU ART DUST..’ ( part 4 )
Text : Genesis 2:7
7: And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
It is good to know that God is doing great things through this medium. PREVAILING VOICE DAILY in an instruction from the Holy Spirit as we were waiting upon the Lord in a 15-day fasting and prayer in the year 2015, since then it has not failed to deliver it purpose.
I have long discovered that God’s word makes our lives, and going through life without God’s word is like setting on a journey without direction.
In this write up I will be using clay as dust since dust is sand.
Look at this scripture:
Jeremiah 18:3, Then I went down to the potter’s house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels.
4, And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.
5, Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
6, O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the Lord. Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.
God speaking in clear terms here, ‘ as the clay is in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand ‘. In the process of making the image the clay was marred in the hand of the potter, but the potter wouldn’t throw it away, the clay can always be put together again and made into something else, how does this apply to you? Your life might seems to be marred, things might have looked terribly bad, your past might have been terrible, but you can be sure that the potter, God, won’t throw you away. As clay can easily be molded into something else, so God will make your life into something better.
You will notice in verse 4 ‘…so he made it again another vessel ‘, again and another shouldn’t be used together except for cogent reasons, it is either he makes the vessel again or he makes another, but here he says, ‘ made it again another vessel ‘ what does this mean? That same vessel that was marred will be made into something else, and when the potter is done, it will be like another, it will look new, there will be no traces of the old.
This is what God does to everyone who surrenders to Him, He makes things new again, your past does not matter here beloved, your terrible financial state will be turned into financial fortune, your marital misfortune will be a marital bliss, your terrible lifestyle will be replaced with purity as if you have never sinned but, that is if and only if you will surrender God, THE POTTER, so that He can break you down, and make you again into another vessel, this time vessel of honor, vessel of glory and splendor. God bless you.
PRAYER.
* Lord make something great out of my life.
* Write off my terrible past, and make the best out of me in Jesus name.
