26th March
Topic: THE PROMISE OF PROSPERITY
Text : Deuteronomy 28:1-12
2: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.
3: Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
4: Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
5: Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.
God has great plans for His children just as you have for your children, He has package of prosperity for each of us. The integrity of the person that made promise is important, when it comes to making promises, everyone makes promises but few people keep promises.
It is important you weigh the integrity of a man before you believe his promises, our God is bound by his words, He is committed to keeping His words, God realizes that anyone who keeps his words earns dignity before men, a man is respected when he keeps his words.
God gives reference to His words than His name, this is because He knows that a man who can’t keep his word will soon rubbish his name, so God can’t fail any of His promises, from our passage, there are pleasant promises for everyone that will obey His voice, the fact of the matter is that He can’t fail us but most times we fail Him by not obeying His voice.
It is important you also know that God does not have plan of poverty for His children, He wants good life for them. Look at this scripture; 3 John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. He does not want us to be poor but rich and blessed.
God does not want money to fail in the hands of His children, He promised us riches and wealth in Psalms 112:3, obedience to His voice guarantees our blessing.
Two things must be in place if you must enjoy this prosperity;
1, You must understand that you’re not meant to be poor.
2, As you obey God’s voice you will live in prosperity.
