Topic: THE GREAT PROVIDER
Text: Genesis 22: 1-18 KJV
7 And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?
8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.
13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.
14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the Lord it shall be seen.
The Almighty God is the one called the great provider, from ages past till now, God has been meeting the needs of men in a divine way that surpasses human understanding.
From the story in our text above, Abraham was instructed by God to go and sacrifice his only son Isaac unto Him on a mountain, Abraham did not question God, rather he was obedient to the core and went on the journey of three days with Isaac and two of his servants for the sacrifice. When they got to a point, Isaac asked Abraham, behold the fire and the wood but where is the lamb for sacrifice, and Abraham replied God shall provide. When they got to the place of sacrifice, Abraham prepared the altar and bound his son Isaac to be used as sacrifice but why he raised the knife to cut Isaac, an angel of God told him to stop and when Abraham lifted up his eyes he saw a ram which God provided for the sacrifice in place of Isaac.
Dearly beloved, God indeed is a great provider, that even at the critical point where Abraham would have sacrifice his son, God provided, no wonder Abraham called Him, Jehovah Jireh meaning The Lord our provider. I decree into your lives and your families that even before your critical points of needs, the Almighty God will provide in Jesus Name. And when it seems the only option left is to sacrifice your Isaac (that is to sell or trade precious things in your life for money or to meet certain needs), the Almighty God will send great provisions for you in Jesus Name.

* Father, you are the great provider, send great provisions to my home today in Jesus Name
