Topic: IDEA VERSUS INSPIRATION
Text: 2 Corinthians 3:6
6: [It is He] Who has qualified us [making us to be fit and worthy and sufficient] as ministers and dispensers of a new covenant [of salvation through Christ], not [ministers] of the letter (of legally written code) but of the Spirit; for the code [of the Law] kills, but the [Holy] Spirit makes alive.
Glory to God who always reveal His mind to us through this platform, for the impact PREVAILING VOICE DAILY is making in many lives, it can only be God. This morning again I am sharing with you by the Spirit of the Lord an. important information.
You must have come across statement like, ‘ ideas rule the world ‘ that is not true. Many good ideas have run people down, some started good businesses with good business plans, and good strategies to execute them but eventually failed. Let’s look at these 2 words together ; Idea and Inspiration ‘.
Idea is defined as the content of cognition; the main thing you’re thinking about. It also mean your intention or personal view. It is always a product of your thoughts, now look at Inspiration; arousal of mind to special unusual activity or creativity. Inspiration is also defined as a special influence of a divinity on the minds of human beings.
From the definitions you can tell the difference, while idea is just mere thought inspiration is the arousal of your mind to SPECIAL UNUSUAL ACTIVITY, something arises your mind to it, it is not mere thought, it is a special influence of a divinity, Holy Spirit is the only divinity that can specifically influence your mind.
Ideas fail but inspirations do not, idea has run many into trouble but inspiration transforms lives. Living your life by ideas is risky, while living by inspiration is connecting to your destiny, see beloved, the Holy Spirit is committed to showing you something you will do that will bring about mega breakthrough in your life, stop running your life by ideas, mere thoughts, personal views, human strategies, how many people have gone bankrupt because of ideas, look around, you will see them.
Ideas have failed several people many times, permit me to say this; about 12 years ago in my country, Nigeria, public offer of ordinary shares of companies was known as a pot of wealth by many, a lot of people went into it, some invested their life savings, but by the Spirit of the Lord I was not permitted to buy 1, suddenly it crashed in value and many people lost so much.
See the fact that some thing is doing well now does not mean it will always do well, the fact that something attracts crowd today does not mean its your way of prosperity, others might make it in a particular business while God might not permit you to do such business. Your life can only move forward by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, I know you have a question; how can I be inspired? It is not difficult, I will teach that next Monday. God bless you real good.
