PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
21st February
Topic: RECEIVING FROM THE LORD
Text: Ephesians 2:8
8: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
We had series of teaching about grace for couple of weeks now, I gave detailed teaching by the Spirit of God, we thank for feedback from readers. I am teaching another important subject today, scriptural teachings are like topics of courses a student takes in school, as he understands one topic he must understand the rest if he must do well in his exams. At good student won’t say, ‘ I have understanding of 10 topics out of 20 I am ready for the exams, he will be preparing for failure if he does that, many believers fail in life because they lack proper understanding of God’s word.
Look at this scripture; Jesus said to them, Is not this where you wander out of the way and go wrong, because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God? Mark 12:24. The Holy Spirit teaches us everyday as we study the scriptures. Receiving from the Lord is the focus today.
Starting from our salvation; we received salvation from the Lord through faith, what does this mean? God is ready to save the whole world but not the whole world will be saved, only those who receive what He has to offer by faith, that is; those who believes in Him, His words, and what He does. It is important you understand that God still respect His nature in man; just as God cannot be forced to do anything likewise God left man to his freewill, man is not a robot that is being controlled or compelled to do things, man is created to express his freewill.
God won’t force any man to accept His offer, He forces or compels no one to seek Him or serve Him, so every sinner who receives salvation first believed in God’s provision for salvation, not questioning eitherJesus is the son of God or not, either He truly died and resurrected or not. When a sinner believes in the provision at calvary he or she receives salvation.
God releases His blessings on us by His grace while we receive those blessings by our faith in His words and His promises. Look at this scripture; 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. This is the only way to receive from the Lord, by faith, we can’t see Him but we believe He is, believing that He can do anything is faith, trusting Him in whatever condition is living by faith.
When things appear impossible and you keep trusting God is act of faith, God rewards everyone who seeks Him in faith, impossibilities become possible when we act in faith, I am talking from experience beloved the enemy was bent on making a mess of life from childhood, my mum can give details, but by my faith God I have victory, I once saw the devil in a revelation wept over my life, glory to God. Your faith in God brings out the best of you, keep exercising your faith in God through prayer, you’re close to victory.
PRAYER.
* As wait on God today, let’s exercise faith through prayer over every challenge of life.
