Topic: HE’S GOT SOMETHING SPECIAL
Text: 1 Samuel 1:1-3 KJV
1 Now there was a certain man of Ramathaimzophim, of mount Ephraim, and his name was Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Elihu, the son of Tohu, the son of Zuph, an Ephrathite:
2 And he had two wives; the name of the one was Hannah, and the name of the other Peninnah: and Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children.
3 And this man went up out of his city yearly to worship and to sacrifice unto the Lord of hosts in Shiloh. And the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, the priests of the Lord, were there.

God is not slack concerning his promises (2 Peter 3:9), He is the very present help in times of trouble (Psalms 46:1) but at times it seems as if there is a delay in our request from God, many a times we feel God is not answering our prayer request or that we have waited so long for the answer to our prayer and yet we have not received it, do not be discourage and do not give up on God, He’s got something special for you.

Several people in the scriptures especially women who were termed barren because they were childless received special gifts from God. When I mean special, God did not just give them children but He gave them special children who were great in life and were relevant in the program of God for their generations.

Our major example today is the woman called Hannah. Hannah was termed a barren woman, she was in desperate need of a child because she was married and it was expected that she should give birth to children, more so her rival Peninah was a torn in her flesh as she was mocking her that she was a barren woman. Hannah prayed and went to Shiloh every year and her paramount prayer request was God give me a son, her request tarried but she waited on God and God gave her something special. Hannah was asking God for a son, but God gave her a prophet who was a voice in Israel and whose words never fell to the ground.

Dearly beloved, delay they say is not a denial, as you wait on God, he will give the best, If it tarries, wait it will surely come and be rest assured when it comes it going to be something special.

PRAYER:
* Father, I receive all your promises for my life in Jesus Name
