Topic: GRACE FOR GREAT WORKS ( Part 3 )
Text : Hebrews 4:14-16
14: Inasmuch then as we have a great High Priest Who has [already] ascended and passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession [of faith in Him].
15: For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning.
16: Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God’s unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it]. Amp.
I did promise to share how to abound in grace today. Let me start by saying that your achievement in life is directly proportional to the level of grace you receive, I have once said that grace is the only currency that is recognized in heaven, it is what heaven releases to you to achieve anything in life. Look at this scripture; John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven. John 3:27, that is grace.
It is available for sinners to be saved, from the point of salvation everyone is expected to grow in grace, whenever we are in need our place of help is the throne of grace, it is like fueling your car when you’re running out of fuel, just as Gas station is a place of filling your tank, the throne of grace is a place to receive grace, approaching the throne of grace is the duty of every believer on daily basis, it is like you transferring money to someone’s account, it is the duty of the person to go withdraw the money.
God has grace stored for all of us at the throne of grace, it is our duty to approach the throne for accessibility. Accessibility is necessary for availability, if you must have grace available for anything you want to achieve, you must be able to access the throne of grace.
Let me quickly make this point; a man can get to the peak of his destiny or remain at the lowest point of his life, access to grace determines either of the two. Let me also say this; God has not made anyone inferior to another, that is; you are not inferior to anyone, but absence of grace of upon a man makes his life miserable, you see a man who is not crooked in his ways and living fine, grace is made available unto him.
Absence of grace is like when you don’t have money, you can’t buy anything, you feel down, but when money comes your spirit is lifted, grace upon a man makes him up and doing, YOU CAN ONLY ACCESS GRACE by REGULAR WORSHIP, DEVOTION, PRAYING and sometimes FASTING. Trusting God for something in the place of prayer, as you do these regularly, God’s grace will increase upon your life. I will round off next Wednesday focusing on ABUSE OF GRACE. God bless you.
