PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
28th January
Topic: THE MYSTERY OF LAND ( part 2 )
Text : Genesis 3:17-19
17: And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
18: Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
19: In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
It is easy for God to deal with any man, He told Adam in verse 19 of our passage ‘ ..for dust thou art..’ It is important to know that man is made from the ground, sand, and every man’s activity is done on the ground, so when a man sins or a people sin, their ground is cursed. When the blood of the innocent people is being shed and justice is out of place, the blood of the victims cries to God as in the case of Cain and Abel, Genesis 4:10.
Take it or leave it this country Nigeria has not been favoured with good leaders, one government or the other leaves us with complain and disappointment. 57 years after independence the country is still crawling, if you ask me, I will say; the blood of innocent people that was shed without bringing their killers to book cries to God.
A land that neglects justice, that will not give heed to the cries of the poor, where criminals, and corrupt leaders are being celebrated cannot enjoy prosperity. It is high time everyone of us got involved in moving this country forward, our silence will make things worst, leaving our politics to wicked leaders will mean backwardness for the nation.
We can have a new Nigeria and will have a new Nigeria, we just can’t continue like this. It is not hard as we think, just do your part while I do mine, please be involved in politics, make your opinion count and your contribution, let’s all stand for justice in this Nation.
Leaving the governance of this nation into the hands corruption politicians who have been parading themselves in the corridor of power since independence will further make things deteriorate.
A new Nigeria is possible if a good number of us have new mindset and orientation, influence the society wherever we are, not allowing sectionalism and tribalism to determine the future of this great nation.
It is absolutely important we ask God to forgive our sins as a nation, and heal our land, let’s ask for his blessings upon our land, blessing of good, upright men, selfless men. Beloved it is important we all rise up to this great task for the sake of our children and grandchildren. God bless you and bless Nigeria.
