Topic: GOD’S PERFECT PLAN 2
Text: Romans 4:18-22 KJV
19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb
20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
22And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
God is a master planner and He has perfect plan for his children, however it is very important we surrender totally to God’s perfect plan for our lives and not sorting for an alternative plan by ourselves. By the word “perfect”, it means it is the best that God has for us and when you get the best of God, you can be rest assured that its peaceful, loving, enjoyable and no trouble
To receive God’s perfect plan, three things are very important and these are:
- Word of God: Abraham never lacked God’s words about the promise of Isaac. God spoke and re-assured Abraham on many occasions of His promise and perfect plan for him. Even when Abraham was nursing the alternative plan (where he prayed that God bless Ishmael and make him dwell before God), God told him He will bless Ishmael as Abraham prayed but His (God) covenant will be with Isaac which Sarah shall bear unto Abraham. (Genesis 17:17-21). So you must not lack God’s word to receive His perfect plan for your life.

Faith: The word God produces the faith to receive God’s perfect plan. From our text above Abraham was not weak in faith, he did not stagger through unbelief but had a strong faith in God that He was able and He would do just what He had promised. Abraham’s faith was firm that he was declared a righteous man by his faith. So faith is a pre-requite to receive God’s perfect plan for your life.
The word of God and faith to receive the perfect plan of God comes into place in the third point which I will discuss next week.
Dearly beloved, for the fulfilment of God’s perfect purpose for your life you need God’s word and faith in it, do not settle for alternate plan it often comes with trouble that one may not be able to undo, remember the blessing of the Lord makes rich and add no sorrow. God bless you.
