PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
16th January
Topic: LIVING RIGHT
Text: James 4:17 KJV
17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
Everyone often starts a new year with new resolutions, but only a few maintained their new year resolutions.
Beloved, one thing you must do differently this year is to ensure your live right. Pleasures of life and the desires to please the flesh will always be there, so long your are still alive on earth, your body is subject to crave for pleasures, and lustful desires of this world but you have to put your flesh under subjection or discipline so that your flesh will not rule your spirit thereby turning your soul towards the devil instead of towards God.
From our text above, if you refuse to do good (live right), the bible says it is a sin. The world system and society at large do not encourage living right but you have got to make up your mind that you will live right this year, that you will overcome the wrong societal systems this year and that you will be a winner and not a loser (someone defeated by wrong influence of the society). Run away from those things that make you fall on the wrong side, if it requires you to choose new set of friends and do away with the bad ones its worth it, you should understand that to live right comes with a price and that price is worth paying.
Dearly beloved, God’s expectation for you is to live right with him and live a life pleasing to God, don’t just live life as it comes this year or anyhow your flesh dictates, choose to be different this year, choose to live right and please God. God bless you.
PRAYER:
* Father, help me to live to please you from henceforth in Jesus Name.
