Topic: PRAYER MAKES THE DIFFERENCE
Text: Acts 12:1-23KJV
1 Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church.
2 And he killed James the brother of John with the sword.
3 And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.)
5 Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.
From our scriptural text above, King Herod killed James (one of the disciples) and when he saw that it pleased the Jews and also that the church folded their arms, he went on in his exploits by taking Peter also, kept him in prison to be killed as well. However, this time around, the church prayed for Peter without giving up and there was a clear difference because the miraculous happened.
Beloved, the year 2017 is gone, I don’t know what the devil took away from you, I don’t know how the enemies dealt with you last year, this is a new year, just like Herod who arrested Peter after killing James, the devil also is not giving up, he is willing to do much more in your life than he did before, only if you can pray. As the church continued in prayer for Peter, God intervened and miraculously brought Peter out of the prison beyond what the church expected. Beloved, had the church folded their arms and refused to pray for Peter, Herod would have succeeded killing him just as he did to James and nothing happened.
Dear reader, 2018 is declared the year of the miraculous, and I decree again that great miracles beyond your expectation shall God do in your life this year in Jesus Name. However, devil is out there wanting to mess with your life as he has done last year, but prayer can make the difference, if only you can persistently continue in prayer like the church did for Peter, nothing will hinder, stop or manipulate the miraculous in your life. As I conclude, remember these scriptures, Luke 18:1 “men ought always to pray and not to faint” and 1 Thessalonian 5:17 “pray without ceasing”. God bless you
PRAYER:
* Father, let me see the reward of prayers in my life this year in Jesus Name
* Father, may I not pray in vain in Jesus Name
* Father, as I labour in prayer, let the miraculous happen in my life in Jesus Name.
