Topic: THE HOLY SPIRIT ( part 6 )
Text : 1 Corinthians 2:9-16
9: But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
10:But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
If you have been following this teaching and others on PVD, you will agree with me that flesh and blood cannot reveal things but the Holy Spirit himself. The focus here is the revelational aspect of the Holy Spirit, v. 9 of our passage is a common scripture in church, it is one scripture people quote and get excited as they do, claiming that no one has seen, know, and understand what God has in stock for them.
You will quote v.9 out of context without reading v.10, v.9 affirms that the plan God has for those who love him is beyond the imagination of men, that means the natural, canal man cannot comprehend it, v.10 proceeds to say that God has made them known to us by his Spirit. God don’t leave his children in the dark, only a bad father will do that to his children, our loving God cannot afford to see us live in ignorance of his plans and programs for our lives, we are not expected to live in uncertainty, confusion, frustration, faith is not living in uncertainty, it is the assurance of things hope for, Hebrews 11:1.
V.10 tells us that the Holy Spirit searches diligently, exploring and examining everything even sounding the profound and bottomless things of God. (Amp) Amplified version explained in details what the Holy Spirit does, searching the deep things of God, while the search? Deuteronomy 29:29 The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.
God intends and does reveals his mind, programs, and purposes for our lives, it is absolutely important we understand so that we will not live below his expectations for our lives. You need to read about King Josiah in 2 Chronicles 45-19-25, please open your bible and read it, just 6 verses, Josiah pleased God all is life, King David was not as righteous as he was, howbeit, he couldn’t understand God’s program at a time and great was his fall, he died untimely.
They bible is so clear in Roman 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. This is how God knows his Children, those who allow his Spirit to lead them. * Lord, reveal things I need to know.
* Let your Spirit give me revelations that will move my life forward and make me fulfill purpose.
* Another day to wait upon the Lord.
