If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do?
A good child is a pride to the parents, while a bad child is a shame to them.
For your children to be your pride it primarily starts from you, you must lay a very strong and good foundation for them to build on especially at the early stages of their lives. Let’s consider more relevant things you must lay as foundation for your children:
- RIGHT TRAINING: Children are learners, in fact majority of them are fast learners. To set them aright with good perspective about life, people and their environment you must expose them to the right training in all ways. Proverbs 22:6 says “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it”. So give your children and your ward very good home training such that they will be guided properly when outside the home. Also ensure they are expose to right training from school, friends, neighbours e.t.c

PRAY FOR THEM: Beyond the physical efforts to lay good foundation for your children, its important you put your spiritual efforts too. As you labour over your children its important you pray for them and bless them too. Your prayer create a good spiritual atmosphere for your children, it invokes the spirit of God upon them which makes them excellent in everything they do. I want to encourage you to always pray and bless your children before going out every morning, its makes their day bright and good.
Beloved, a good, strong, and solid foundation is very essential to raise children who are parents’ pride and it primarily starts from you. God bless you
