Topic: STRETCH THY HAND
Text : Exodus 14:15,16
15:And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:
16: But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.
God made man with dominion, he gave him power over what he made. Every man is empowered by God to go through life and filful his purpose, man is made with value and dignity. God delegated authority to man to continue his works on earth, man is meant to continue from where God stopped.
It is like you providing ingredients for cooking, and expects your wife or your cook to put them together to provide meal. God didn’t make a dummy man, he didn’t make man without capacity to go about his life, he made man with a body, mind and has his senses working, so that he wouldn’t need to depend on anyone for survival.
The man God made should be able to put food on his table, cloth himself, feed his family, he should be able to plan his life, he is not meant to live a gloomy life, from our passage; Moses and the Israelites were by the red sea crying to God, the respond of God shocked me, v. 15; and the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou onto me?…v. 16; but lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea…
The sea here connotes challenges, difficulties, problem, scarcity, joblessness, in order words God was saying you have what it takes to go through the sea, this challenge, I see God saying if only you know what is in your hand, then you will understand that this challenge is a walk over, the victory is in your hand, it is not with me, I have given it to you since, only that you didn’t realize the fact that you have it, you have the success, you have the prosperity.
The same thing God is telling you here, you have the victory, success, financial breakthrough, you have the prosperity just do one thing; stretch forth thy hand, the success is in your hand, use your senses and do something to add value to your life and family. Your brain is given you to reason something out, think with your brain and execute with your hands.
Moses didn’t know the sea can divide by merely stretching his hand, just as you are scared the business plan might fail, you contemplate if your hands can make out something good, of course yes, God has empowered you to live fulfilled, don’t be scared your red sea will open, there will be breakthrough, success, victory, prosperity, testimonies. Just pray for divine guidance, think and use your hands and the Lord will bless what you do. You are blessed.
