Topic: THE CRY OF A BELIEVER 2
Text: Psalms 30:5 KJV
Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
Today we want to consider another reason why believers’ cry and the relevance of their cry to God.
Another reason why a believer cries is due to affliction from the devil for righteousness sake, that is a believer can cry as a result of afflictions, trials, persecution from men or the devil because that believer is righteous and would not deny his/her faith in God. A good example is Job, as recorded in Job 1-2, Job was afflicted by the devil to proof to God that Job was righteous because he knew God not just because God has blessed him all round.
Its not only the devil that has interest in the cry of a believer, the Almighty God is equally interested and and He is moved when a believer cry or weep. Just as the cry of a believer is worth more to the devil than the cry of multitude of sinners, likewise the cry of a single believer worth more to God than the cry of multitude of sinners. When a believer cries, God is always moved especially when it’s a cry from a child of God who is afflicted for righteousness sake and not because he fell into sin. God is not only moved but also wipe away tears of the cry of a believer and gives him joy.
The following scriptures talk about what God said or does or will do to an afflicted believer or a believer that cries:
Psalms 34:19 “Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all”
Psalms 30:5 “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”
Isaiah 54:1 54 “Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the Lord”
Revelation 21:4 “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away”.
Dearly beloved, I decree into your life today, that in the name that is above every other name, that God will wipe away your tears and give you joy in Jesus Name. No more crying, weeping and sorrow in your life in Jesus Name. The season of affliction, weeping and crying is terminated in your life and home today in Jesus Name. Enter into your season of joy and celebration in Jesus Name. God bless you.

* Father, by your mighty power terminate every affliction in my life and wipe away my tears in Jesus Name
