Topic: DIGNITY OF LABOUR
Text : Ecclesiastics 9:10
10: Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.
Adam before his fall was not created to be idle, at his best he was meant to be productively engaged. When people greet you, one of the things they say is ‘ how is work? It is important you know that God blesses what you do, work earns you respect, anyone who is productively engaged is a blessing to himself, his family and community.
It is wrong to sit idle doing nothing, it doesn’t add value in anyway, work boost your intelligence, gives you economic power, your body is not made to sit all day doing nothing. Work builds confidence in you about your future, you are not scared of paying bills or meeting needs when you have a good job.
Every hand is suppose to be busy not idle, you will observed that you cherish what you buy with proceeds from your hard labour than what you get on the plata of gold, if I know what it cost me to get a thing, I won’t allow it slip off my hands easily, I won’t handle it with levity.
Work is meant to keep life going, it is like fuel in your car, when it is not available the car ceases to move, when there is no work, achievement in life will be slow, many things will be left undone, a small amount can create a big problem when good work is not in place.
Let me illustrate this way: it is like having a reservoir of water stored but no tap is connected to the reservoir, of course it is synonymous to not having water at all, because you can’t access it. The reservoir represents the blessings God has stored for you, while your work is the tap through which blessings flow into your life.
If you need a good job, ask God, he will give you one. You can learn businesses, study those who are doing well, let them guide you. Ask God for divine leading, he will guide, you are not created to live from hands to mouth, you have been pronounced blessed by God. God bless you.
PRAYER.
* Lord prosper the works of my hands.
* Give me good jobs or businesses.
