Topic: APPRECIATING HIS PRESENCE.
Text : Psalms 91:1
1: He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand].
I am sincerely grateful to God who showed me the path of salvation and life on time. As I grow up as a young Christian, I understood the importance of God’s presence, I know what it means to dwell in the secret place of the Most High; as I pray I feel his presence, he has also not denied us his presence each time we gathered, as testimonies break forth from each gathering.
Most importantly we appreciate his presence in individual lives, and families, It is obvious that the devil has lost his ground. It is important you know you can’t go through life successfully without God’s presence.
His presence is not found every where, in fact, some church gatherings lack his presence, the size of a gathering in God’s name does not determine God’s presence, of course God’s presence attracts people, but it importance you are not carried away by the size of the gathering.
Permit me to share this experience; on a particular Sunday several years ago, I attended about 4 different church programs, I was in a church service, but I couldn’t feel his presence, I attended another praise concert where they played all kinds of musical instruments, I couldn’t still feel his presence, another one before night, I couldn’t get what I wanted, I needed to be in school for the executive meeting of our fellowship in the night, and 4 of us gathered under a tree in front of one of the hostels, as we pick a worship song to sing, I felt his presence, what a sweet experience? That’s what I longed for all day.
It is important you know that it is God’s presence that makes the difference in any gathering, if he is not present, it is most likely to be a waste of time. I want to advise you change the church you attend if you are not sure God is present there, there will definitely be one church around you where God is present, it might not be as big as you expect. One way to ascertain God’s presence in a church is to access your life, since you started attending the church; are growing in sin or living above sin? Are you being touching by the sermons? Your heart will draw close to God if you attend a church that carries God’s presence.
I appreciate God for his presence at the PREVAILING SISTERS’ CONFERENCE yesterday, it was well attended, thanks to all Ministers. It’s really a great time, I am persuaded that great testimonies will accompany the program. Thanks all PREVAILING FAMILY executives, every effort you put in making the program a success, finance and others, will bring forth great fortune unto you. It is certain we are going places.
