PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
28th September
Topic: THE MESSENGER 2
Text: Judges 16: 1-31 KJV
16 And it came to pass, when she pressed him daily with her words, and urged him, so that his soul was vexed unto death;
17 That he told her all his heart, and said unto her, There hath not come a razor upon mine head; for I have been a Nazarite unto God from my mother’s womb: if I be shaven, then my strength will go from me, and I shall become weak, and be like any other man.
18 And when Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, Come up this once, for he hath shewed me all his heart. Then the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and brought money in their hand.
19 And she made him sleep upon her knees; and she called for a man, and she caused him to shave off the seven locks of his head; and she began to afflict him, and his strength went from him.
Among those that one meets in life are those called the messenger of darkness. Just like their name implied they bring darkness and evil into life of anyone, when they come into lives they turned light to darkness, they quenced the fire in the spirit, and terminate glory in that person’s life.
Messengers of darkness could be strange people who are agents of darkness and sent specifically from kingdom darkness to a life, family, home or even ministry. They could also be familiar people who allowed the devil to use them to fulfil evil assignment.
From our text above, Delilah (a stranger) was nothing but a messenger of darkness in Samson’s life, and she never relented until she brought Samson down and delivered him to the hands of the Philistines. In Genesis 39:7-20, Portipher’s wife (a familiar person to Joseph) was a bait in the hand of the devil against Joseph, she was bent on seducing Joseph to fornicate with her, and had Joseph fallen for her deceit his destiny would have be destroyed. In Genesis 4:1-16, Cain permitted the devil to use him as a messenger of darkness to kill his own brother Abel and terminated his destiny
Many are in great deal of bondage because of the activities of the messenger of darkness in their lives, some great people have fallen just like Samson on the laps of Delilah. I decree into your life that messenger of darkness will not get you in Jesus Name.
Beloved, watch and pray just as Jesus admonish us in Matthew 26:41, and don’t be ignorance of the devices of the devil. Finally be sensitive in the spirit. God bless you.
PRAYER:
* Father, let messengers of darkness be far away from me in Jesus Name
* Father, I will not be a victim of messengers of darkness in Jesus Name.
