Prevailing Voice Daily 25th September

PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
25th September
Topic: BUSY AND BLESSED
Text : Genesis 26:1-22.
12 Then Isaac sowed seed in that land and received in the same year a hundred times as much as he had planted, and the Lord favored him with blessings.
13 And the man became great and gained more and more until he became very wealthy and distinguished;
14 He owned flocks, herds, and a great supply of servants, and the Philistines envied him.
Man at his best state is not created to be idle, even before the fall of Adam, he had things to do, how do I know? Genesis 2:15 And the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to tend and guard and keep it. The word ‘ tend ‘ means manage, look after, or have care of. The difference between the time of his fall and before he fell is that: from the time he fell, he began to toil instead of tend.
Back to our text, Isaac sowed and God blessed him, you will need to read from verse 1 to verse 22 at your leisure, that will help you to understand what I am about share here, you will discover how resilient Isaac was, he had reasons to be discouraged but he refused to be, his father, Abraham dug wells but Philistines stopped them (v.18) in dug another well in valley they strove with him and took it, he called the place Esek ( v. 19.20. )
They took another well in v. 21 he called he the place sitnah, but he wouldn’t give up, just imagine how stressful it is to dig a well without modern tools. This is to show how busy and committed he was to work, he wouldn’t just sit somewhere and say: I am the promised child, I have the covenant of blessing upon me, God has made covenant with my father that he will bless me, in fact, bless the world through me, either I work or not I am blessed , you just wait and see the manifestation, but rather he understood that the promise can only come to fulfilment when he works.
He must have understood that God is a multiplier, and when he multiplies his idleness ( zero ) the answer will be zero, so he knew that he God is ready to multiply something in his hands, he knew that he must get BUSY TO BE BLESSED. So in verse 22 he got a victory, look at it: And he moved away from there and dug another well, and for that one they did not quarrel. He named it Rehoboth [room], saying, For now the Lord has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land. Amp.
Beloved, you gat to be committed to work if you must be blessed, God blesses what is in you hands. God bless you . Do have a prosperous week.
PRAYER.
* Help me Lord to be resilient on my way to breakthrough.
