Topic: JESUS’ ASSIGNMENT 3
Text : 2 Corinthians 12:24-26
- After that comes the end (the completion), when He delivers over the kingdom to God the Father after rendering inoperative and abolishing every [other] rule and every authority and power.
- For [Christ] must be King and reign until He has put all [His] enemies under His feet.
- The last enemy to be subdued and abolished is death.
We started discussing JESUS’ ASSIGNMENT two Sundays ago, I want to wrap it up today. The scriptures I am sharing today struck my spirit man when I came across it several years ago, verse 24 tells us when the end will come, when he ,Jesus, delivers the kingdom to our God. When we started this subject, I told you Jesus came to this world purposely for this assignment, in fact this is the only reason he came.
This might shook you, the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus was not in the plan God when he was making the world, the fell of Adam necessitated the 3. Since Adam lost fellowship with God, God had to make provision for man to be restored to him.
Have you ever imagined why God allows disasters, calamities, evil to befall men, Innocent people inclusive? They are fallout of the fall of Adam, Adam introduced human race to evil, remember he was chased out of the beautiful Eden, because such live is not permitted in Eden, but God wanting to restore us back to a glorious life which can only be found in his kingdom, not the kingdom of this world, sent Jesus and gave him this assignment of building his kingdom in the hearts of men . Please take note of this: this present evil world still exist because he is not done with this assignment ( building the Kingdom ) once he is done, he,Jesus, will deliver the assignment to the one who sent him, God, AND THEN THE END WILL COME.
This scripture compliment what I am explaining: Matthew 24:14 And this good news of the kingdom (the Gospel) will be preached throughout the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then will come the end. The gospel will be preached in nook and cranny of the world as a witness for everyone, this is to prove the fairness and righteousness of God, those who receive it will have the kingdom built in their hearts, and Jesus will deliver the kingdom to our God.
Only those who have the kingdom built in their lives will make the kingdom of Heaven, reigning forever with God, the rest will end up in hell fire with the devil. We have come to a point where this gospel of the kingdom is preached in every nation, that means any moment from now, Jesus will submit this assignment and then the end will come. Are you ready?
PRAYER.
* Lord help me to be ready.
* Help to regularize all irregularities.
* Remove anything that will disqualify me from reigning with you.
