Topic: WHEN LIFE SEEMS CLOUDY
Text : Isaiah 40:28-31
29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
There is no permanent climatic condition, the sun shines temporarily while rain also falls temporarily. Cloud is not always in the sky, it is usually temporal, when life seems cloudy, and things are not working as expected or desired, it is important you know that it will not be forever, it is a mere climatic condition.
When things go wrong in life, it is probably your spiritual climatic condition is cloudy, you must understand that life is spiritual, everything you see around you is manifestation of spiritual activities, so when life affairs go wrong it is absolutely important you get spiritual, this is because the author of life himself is a Spirit, how do I know ? John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Our text seems common but there are two important points about the passage that are not common, but before then understand verse 30 of our passage : even the youths shall faint be weary, and young men shall utterly fall. This means even those who appear to have strength, who are known for strength, will utterly fall. Look around, you will see those who you don’t think can fall, that fell , they fell in one area or the other. ‘ THE FALL ‘ here connotes a setback in one area or the other; business, finance, marriage, faith, etc.
Verse 31 gave us a top secret it started with ‘ but ‘, contrary to what befalls those in verse 30 : But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Let me quickly explain ‘ mount up…as eagles ‘;
1, Eagle eye drone can shoot in adverse ( bad) weather: the eagle bird can see in cloudy skies unlike other birds who go to hid once the sky is cloudy, so those who wait upon the Lord in their trying times, can see through and beyond that time.
2, The Eagle bird soar into and beyond the cloud, because it understands that behind the cloud is the sun, in like manner, those who wait upon the receive strength to soar in time of challenges and difficulties that is the reason they are liken to Eagles.
I am glad to announce you that bad season of your life will soon pass, it is a mere climatic condition, as you wait upon the Lord, you will soar through it and beyond it.
PRAYER.
* Oh Lord let hard times seize in my life.
* let me enter my season of Joy.
* It is another day to wait upon the Lord in fasting and prayer.
