Topic: BLESSINGS OF ABRAHAM 2
Text: Genesis 12:2-3KJV
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
God did not just bless Abraham but made him a blessing, I mean blessing unto nations (verse 3b says …and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed).
There is a clear difference in being blessed and being a blessing.
When you are blessed, the blessing is limited to you, everyone can see that you are doing fine and that God has blessed you but then you cannot not transfer the blessings to other, other cannot tap their own blessings from God through you.
On the other hand, when God makes you a blessing, you become a channel or a medium through which God can reach out to others, it means when people bless you, they become blessed just like God told Abraham in our text above “I will bless them that bless you..” When God makes you a blessing its like you are a well of blessing where people can draw from or like an oil of blessing upon you which can flow to others. But the big picture here is that God made Abraham a blessing unto nations, that every families of the earth shall be blessed through Abraham, and that where you come in, you are a seed of Abraham by faith, you are an extension of that promise God made to Abraham in Genesis 12:3.
Dearly beloved, speak to God today that as a seed of Abraham by faith, God should fulfill that scripture in your life and make you a blessing unto every families on earth. God bless you

* Father, bless me beyond what any man can curse in Jesus Name
* Father, I shall be blessings to nations in Jesus Name
* Father, release upon me your oil of blessings and let it flow from me to others in Jesus Name.
