Topic: THE BLESSINGS OF ABRAHAM
Text: Genesis 17:1-21 KJV
2 And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.
3 And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,
4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.
5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.
The blessings of Abraham, are blessings beyond curses, they are blessings of nations meaning though he was just one man but carried blessings meant for nations. Abraham was so blessed such that:

• Lot was blessed because of him: Genesis 13:5 says “And Lot also, which went with Abram, had flocks, and herds, and tents”. Lots was so blessed and rich because of his alliance with Abraham, but he was not conscious of this until he detached himself from Abraham (Genesis 13:8-13) and things went from good to bad, and from bad to worse for him (Genesis 19:1-38). I tell you the truth that was Lot’s greatest mistake.

• Kings and Nations bow to Abraham: In Genesis 21: 22-33, King Abimelech and Phichol his captain pleaded with Abraham to make an agreement with them by oath, that Abraham who was a stranger in their land will not rise against them or deal with them falsely. They understood clearly that God was with Abraham and therefore sought to be in good terms with him.

• Kings were reproved for Abraham’s sake: Two kings, Pharaoh and Abimelechi out of ignorance took Sarah Abraham’s wife to be their wife according to Genesis 12 & 20 respectively, and God dealt seriously with the two Kings for Abraham’s sake.

• His seeds were great: Isaac was the child of promise from God to Abraham with a covenant of greatness. However, Ishmael who was born out of God’s plan to Abraham by Hagar was also made great. God told Abraham He will make Ishmael a nation because he was Abraham’s seed even though Ishmael was a wrong seed (Genesis 21:12-13). It means whatever comes out of Abraham’s bowels would be great.

Dearly beloved, time would not permit to highlight more points on this topic, but I decree into your life beginning from now, the blessings of Abraham shall be yours in Jesus Name. God bless you.

* Father, I receive by faith the blessings of Abraham in Jesus Name
* I will be too blessed to be cursed in Jesus Name
* All my seeds shall be great in life in Jesus Name
* Father, you will reprove Kings for my sake in Jesus Name
