Prevailing Voice Daily 28th August

PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
28th August
Topic: INPUT IN LIFE
Text :Judges 11:1-11
2 And Gilead’s wife bare him sons; and his wife’s sons grew up, and they thrust out Jephthah, and said unto him, Thou shalt not inherit in our father’s house; for thou art the son of a strange woman.
3 Then Jephthah fled from his brethren, and dwelt in the land of Tob: and there were gathered vain men to Jephthah, and went out with him.
5 And it was so, that when the children of Ammon made war against Israel, the elders of Gilead went to fetch Jephthah out of the land of Tob:
11 Then Jephthah went with the elders of Gilead, and the people made him head and captain over them: and Jephthah uttered all his words before the Lord in Mizpeh.
Sometimes as human when we make comparison of people’s lives, we draw conclusion that God didn’t make things equal, but on the contrary God blesses everyone with great potentials to make impact in his world.
The guy in our passage had unpleasant background, he could have resign to fate but he refused, how could it have been his fault that his mother was a harlot? But some people capitalized on that to bring him down, in the process of time, he improved on his life, explore the great potentials God has deposited in his life, invested so much into his life, he outlived the emblem of shame and rejection, his fame went far even to his home town, he was been sought after for the position of leadership.
Verse 3 amazes me ‘…and there were gathered vain men Jephthah..’ Vain men, ordinary men, common men, in my own words, people with no educational qualifications, it means he didn’t ride on the wings of anyone, no godfather except God the father, no input into his life, but his own input to life.
He looked within and discovered that the creator has been good to him, the creator was not partial, he has all it takes to live as king, great was his achievement in life, he was a shining star and was celebrated in his generation.
I challenge you this day to look within, work on yourself, the creator is fair to everyone including you, He has great plans for you. Be strong and build a great destiny, allow nothing to bring you down. God bless you.
PRAYER.
