Topic: THE GLORY OF HIS PRESENCE
Text : Acts 4: 13
13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
As a young convert in my teenage, I was taught the importance of God’s presence. First of all I understood that great things are birthed in the closet not public, for instance; no student passes exams by reading in the public, process of pregnancy is done in the closet not public, farmers don’t put seeds on the soil but inside the soil before they get harvest, in like manner our lives are made in the closet not in the public.
Spending time with God propels manifestation of great things in and through our lives, Jesus was very clear about this when speaking in Matthew 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. The beginning of great things in our lives is spending time with God, as we spend time in His presence He responses through SPECTACULAR ACTS ( events that announce themselves ).
Things that only God can do manifest in our lives, this understanding has brought great manifestations in my life, I am talking from experience, God’s glory is obvious on a life that people thought will amount to nothing. To Him be all the glory, the devil has lost several battles over my life.
From our passage, Peter and John were unlearned men, illiterates, they were not schooled with secular education, but they were always in class with Jesus, He has taught them the importance of waiting upon the Lord, fellowship with God, receiving from God, experiencing the power and grace of God, the glory of God’s presence, and so their ignorance in secular things could not limit them, this is because they had the ultimate knowledge.
It is amazing that this guys, the apostles, were more popular than the government of their days, they were named doctors as they heal all manners of diseases, incurable diseases vanished as they speak, God was rewarding the times they spend with Him with notable signs and wonders. That same God still announces Himself in the life of anyone that spends time with Him, be regular in His presence, you will get great inspirations that will transform your life, finance, business, family and ministry.
