Text: Psalms 42: 1-11
Psalms 42:1 As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
Psalms 42:2 My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?
The Psalmist had a desperate thirst for God, this is basically because he understood some certain facts, I will quickly enumerate them.
He did understand that when you get God, you get the following;
* Grace; Titus 2:11, 1 Corinthians 15: 10, that brings salvation and molds your life
* Glory; Isaiah 60:1, you can’t get God and live in shame, impossible.
* Greatness: Isaiah 60:1,2. God is great, you can’t get Him and remain small.
* Gold: Haggai 2:8, Psalms 112:1-3, God gives power to make wealth.
* Girl/ Guy: Proverbs 18:22, He will give you good person to marry.
* Get going: Psalms 40:2, with God by your side, you can’t be stranded, you keep going on in life no matter what comes your way.
All a man needs can only be found in God, instead of running after these things, seek God and get them on the platter of Gold.
PRAYER.
* Lord, I need more of you.
* Draw me closer to you Lord.
* I just want to be where you are.
* Remove passion for worldly things.
* Grace me to seek you with the whole of my heart.
* I want to go deeper in the love of Christ.
* Help me to get wiser in the school of wisdom.
* Help me to be able to do anything for you.
