Topic: TIME OF PROMISE
Text: Ecclesiastes 3:1-11 KJV
1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
Time is absolutely important in life, that is, we cannot talk about life without talking about time. As a matter of fact the period of a man’s life on earth is a period of time from birth to death, and to everyman time is made available. Every area of a man’s life is measured with time just as our text states that there is time for everything, a time to be born, a time to die, a time to weep, a time to laugh e.t.c
Reading through the scriptures at certain times, seasons, situations, and for many reasons, God gave promises to men. A time of promise is a time God gives you promises of what He wants to do in your life. Some promises are general (Deuteronomy 28:1-13), some are specific (directly to you) either through the scriptures, visions, revelations, audible voice of God, spoken words or prophesy through His ministers (Genesis 15:18-21).
Some reasons why God releases promises are:
* As answers to prayer
* To make known what He wants to do for you (His plans)
* To give you direction
* Not to keep you in the dark of what your future holds
* Because of His abundant mercies e.t.c.
Dearly beloved, what you need to do at the time of promise is
* Receive the promise through His words by faith
* Activate the promise by faith, fasting and prayer (2 Chronicles 20:20, Mark 9:29). God bless you
PRAYER:
* Father, give me the understanding of your timing for my life in Jesus Name
* Lord, help me not to miss my time in Jesus Name.
