Text: Proverbs 4:1-27
Proverbs 4:5 Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
Proverbs 4:6 Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.
Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
Knowing what you do and understanding it brings you fortune. A man who has understanding of what he does, I mean his job, business can easily solve problems in that line. You won’t want to give your car to a mechanic who does his job haphazardly, of course he will do more damages.
Nobody will like to give you job if you don’t have proper understanding of what you do, in depth understanding into what you do will make you outstanding in your field of operation. You will need little or no advertisement when you do your job right because your performance will announce you.
One of the major reasons why people don’t get job is lack of proper knowledge of their job, people always need your service, but they call someone else probably because you’re not functioning at your best. Acquiring more skills, more knowledge about what you do will earn you a good living.
If the industry you’re is not doing well, you can acquire knowledge in new field, this is important because you must remain economically relevant, it is the only way to boost your economic power, that is financial performance.
Solomon in his writing said ‘ …with all thy getting, get understanding ‘. As the wisest man for a life time, he understood that knowledge surpasses wealth, knowledge births wealth, while wealth can be squandered by a man who lacks understanding of his life and what he does.
I am of the opinion that man can learn anything, you are not born to do one thing as some people say, though everyone has his core area in life, but no one is restricted to that. Your brain has great capability to acquire great knowledge but it only work when you task it.
God loaded everyone with great intellect to make difference in his or her world, many appear irrelevant because they lack right knowledge. This is the key point, God did not make anyone useless and valueless, God put some much treasures into man, how do I know? Psalms 8:4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
See beloved, you are not inferior to ANYONE, ANYONE I mean, by the time you begin to explore the great treasures in you, the one who appears to be ahead of you will be behind, but mind you, NO COMPETITION, you got your destiny and I got mine. Getting in-depth understanding of your life and work will make you rise to the top. GET UNDERSTANDING. God bless you.
