Topic: BLESSING IN DISGUISE
Text : Genesis 39: 1-23
Genesis 39:1 And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the Ishmeelites, which had brought him down thither.
Genesis 39:2 And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.
Genesis 39:20 And Joseph’s master took him, and put him into the prison, a place where the king’s prisoners were bound: and he was there in the prison.
Genesis 39:22 And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph’s hand all the prisoners that were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it.
Man’s view of issues always differ to God’s view, some things we call problems are really not. God sees the end from the beginning of every matter, His ways are usually not our ways. As I study the scriptures, and study the life of Joseph, I have great revelation about the dealings of God with man, Joseph is our case study today.
He had troubles from his father house: the hatred of his brothers was blessing in disguise Genesis: 37:18-20, God wouldn’t allow them to kill him, the hatred was not unto death but to push him into destiny, just as what you are going through is not meant to finish you.
His being sold to the Ishmeelites was also blessings in disguise, eventually Potiphar bought him, he fell in good hand, he enjoyed comfort and Favour in Potiphar’s house, Potiphar’s house was relief on his way to destiny, it wasn’t the destiny itself where he had all comfort to himself. But the master planner who knows the best and wants the best for him instigated Mrs. Potiphar against him, that was also blessing in disguise.
In one day he left the comfort zone only to land in king pharaoh’s prison which was also blessing in disguise. I see Joseph prayed and trusted God for a better life as he journeyed through all these, sometimes he wondered why he has to pass through all that, as he moved from mountains to valleys. The king’s prison was next to the king’s palace, it was then he understood that all was blessing in disguise.
God loves you dearly just as He loved Joseph, and I can say with full assurance that all you are going through is blessing in disguise as long as you are on the side of God, He will turn your misfortune to fortune and take you to your palace. God bless you.
PRAYER.
* Lord turn misfortune in my life to fortune.
* It is another day to wait upon the Lord, ask Him to change your story for better as you wait in His presence.
