Topic: DON’T BE DISPLACED Part 1
Text: Psalms 1:1
1- Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of scornful.
I have often heard this quote that “your location determines your allocation” meaning what you get can largely be a function of where you are. For every human living on earth, two things available to all are time and space. That is for every moment you spent on earth you must be somewhere (location or space) at a particular time, you can’t be in different places at the same time. So as a child of God, there is a location where the blessings of God is most probable.
God is also mindful of the these two things (location and timing) for His children, In our text, it says “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of scornful” meaning God may be limited to bless a man (even though He wants to) who is located in the way of sinner, walking in the counsel of ungodly and seated in the sit of scornful.
The event in the life of Jacob according to Genesis 26:1-3 also shows that God is mindful of your location for Him to reach out to you in blessings. Jacob wanted to relocate to Egypt because of famine in the land but God told him never to move from where he was, and at the end even in the midst of famine, God still blessed him because he was obedient to stay where God wanted him to be.
In Genesis 3:8-10, God came to fellowship with Adam and Eve, and God was calling unto Adam, “Where Art Thou” because Adam and Eve have been displaced from where God placed them to be.
Dearly beloved, God is the Almighty, He can do all things, in fact there is nothing too difficult for Him to do, but you can limit Him from reaching out to you when you are displaced from where God positioned you. So don’t allow anything even challenges to displace you from where God wants you to be both physically and spiritually. God bless you
Father, I will not be displaced from your presence both physically and spiritually in the name of Jesus.
