Text : Proverbs 25:11-20
Proverbs 25:13 As the cold of snow in the time of harvest, so is a faithful messenger to them that send him: for he refresheth the soul of his masters.
Proverbs 25:19 Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint.
One of the definitions of Faithfulness is ‘ marked by fidelity to an original ‘, Loyalty to someone or a course, truthfulness to the letter, it is an attribute celebrated by everyone. Everyone wants to relate with a faithful person, people can go any length with you when you are found faithful.
A faithful fellow gets good recommendation from many people, he is blessed at home and at work, or any organization. He is fit for the position of a leader, he gets support of many, if he is in business he gets good patronage, he can be trusted with money or any other valuable.
From our text, Proverbs 25:13 As the cold of snow in the time of harvest, so is a faithful messenger to them that send him: for he refresheth the soul of his masters. A faithful follower refreshes the soul of his masters, the master can go to bed committing things into his hands, no panic thought for his master when he is at work.
An unfaithful servant is not so, he is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint, he causes serious pains, he brings heartache to anyone who trusts him. Like the popular saying ‘ it is good to be good ‘, God rewards faithfulness, how did I know? 1 Samuel 26:23 The LORD render to every man his righteousness and his faithfulness; faithfulness attracts favour with man and God, life just get easier when favour with God and man are in place. God bless you.
