Text : John 3:27
St. John 3:27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.
It is important we understand how blessing flows into our lives, expressed in clear terms according to our passage; all we receive come from heaven, this means to get anything we must stay in connection with heaven.
Most times we look up to man for help, but the fact remains that except the Lord sends man to you you will remain helpless. John made the statement in our passage when his disciples reported they saw crowd with Jesus, so John needed to let them know that, He was empowered from heaven to do the great works He did.
It therefore means that anyone who will achieve great things in life must be in contact with heaven, this is absolutely important, in fact, when God is angry with a man He shuts his heaven, that is the heaven space over his life, how do I know? Look at it here: Deuteronomy 11:17 And then the LORD’s wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD giveth you.
If your heaven has not been permitted by God to release blessing or your desired miracle, you will not be able to get it, every wise man will want to be in terms with the God of heaven. Job’s friend understood this when he said in Job 22:21 Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee.
From NIV it reads thus: Job 22:21 “Stop quarreling with God! If you agree with him, you will have peace at last, and things will go well for you.
It is absolutely important you be in terms with God, meaning abstain from sin, before your heaven can release blessings, more to this is that you must contact the God of heaven, make demands, tell Him what you want Him to release, praying to the God of heaven to open heaven upon your life, there is no other way to get anything good thing that will last. God bless you.
PRAYER.
* Settle issues that do not allow you to be in terms with God.
* Lord open heaven upon my life and release my desired miracle.
* Be specific about what you want Him to release now.
* Another day to wait upon the Lord in fasting and prayer, be part of it.
